Where candidates lose points

The advanced networking domain is the biggest trap: candidates who've only worked with a single VCN often haven't touched Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG) route tables, transit routing between on-premises networks and multiple VCNs, or how FastConnect redundancy interacts with BGP failover. Multi-region disaster recovery design - choosing between active-passive and active-active topologies and reasoning through the RPO/RTO trade-offs of each - is the other consistent weak spot, since it demands architectural judgment rather than recalling a service limit.

How long to prepare
